- Full-time (0.25 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 6 months.
- Base salary range: $74,450 – $79,085 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
A cancer genomics research laboratory is working on developing novel biomarkers and approaches for cancer diagnosis and prevention.
About the opportunity
- You will, be required to assist with molecular and next-generation sequencing processing of samples.
- You will also provide support and help liaise with clinical staff for patient recruitment, sample collection and initial stages of sample processing.
- Prepare patient samples (blood and saliva) for genomic sequencing.
About you
- Year 12 or equivalent competency.
- Relevant research experience in conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research in human disease.
- Experience with a range of molecular techniques including extraction of, and analysis of nucleic acids.
- Knowledge of epigenetic regulation of histone modification.
- Strong lab experience in ChIP-Seq and/or CUT&TAG.
Note: Some after hours work may be required.
