- Base salary range: Level B, $113,934 – $134,824 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The School of Biomedical Sciences comprises four disciplines: Medical Science and Genetics; Microbiology and Immunology; Pathology and Laboratory Science; and Pharmacology and Toxicology. The School is active in teaching undergraduate Biomedical Science and Professional Pathway students across a wide range of majors and disciplines, plus has a large cohort of Honours students, postgraduate research students, and coursework students in the Master of Infectious Disease and Master of Clinical Pathology programs.
About the opportunity
- Commitment to unit coordination, high quality teaching and laboratory supervision in Pharmacology and Toxicology
- Design and implement best practice assessment of student learning outcomes
- Contribute to development of innovative undergraduate curricula to ensure an excellent student experience
About you
- PhD in an academic field relevant to Neuropharmacology
- Ability to teach how these molecular entities are targeted in the management of various CNS disorders, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and addiction.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities such as team and school meetings, strategic planning and program development
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices to ensure equality of opportunity for all learners
- Capacity to translate research findings into high quality teaching in lectures, labs and workshops
